Details

The wearables, sensors and electronic implants market is predicted to be one of the fastest growing and largest health tech markets in the world because of the ability to disrupt a number of parallel markets while reducing healthcare costs and improving quality of care. Traditional markets are inefficient and costly and can be transformed by using rich sets of data generated by being more patient-centric. From just providing real-time monitoring of patient condition in order to more precisely inform treatment decisions, these technologies can evolve beyond health monitoring to offer diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. Professor Cima’s talk will touch on the market opportunities, the regulatory hurdles and the potential to disrupt sectors such as healthcare delivery, diagnostics and therapeutics.
